A female banker with Globus Bank in Lagos, Amarachi Ugochukwu, has killed herself.
Amarachi took her own life in the toilet of the bank’s Ikorodu branch on Monday.
In the suicide note she dropped, the 32-year-old complained of finding life difficult and appealed to her family members and friends to forgive her action.
“Nothing is working in my life. My figures are low. My brain is clogged up. The economy is getting harder. My decisions are wrong. My mind is messed up. The future doesn’t seem bright at all. I see extreme hardship. I can’t bear the pain anymore,” she wrote in the said note.
Report stated that the deceased was in the marketing department of the bank.
It added that prior to the discovery of her body, her mobile phone had been ringing prompting her colleagues to look around for her with a visit to the loo producing mixed results: she was found but not alive.
“The toilet was forced open because she locked herself up in it. She was found dead on the floor with a suicide note and sniper insecticide lying beside her body, which has been moved to the morgue by the police who came to the bank after the branch manager brought their notice to the suicide,” sources narrated.
