KOGI – President Bola Tinubu on Monday commissioned multiple projects executed by the Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo in commemoration of his one year in office.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented the President, arrived in the state in the company of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Umar Ganduje and Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo.

The visitors were received by Governor Ododo, his deputy, Joel Oyibo, former governors Yahaya Bello and Idris Wada, Commissioners and other government officials.

The governor led the Vice President and his delegation to Lokoja Local Government Area where three road projects were commissioned at a stretch to the delight of Kogi residents.

Zone 8-Zango Daji- Kaduna Junction road (9Km), Zone 8 – Crusher Road (5.5Km) , were the first set of projects to be commissioned in the state.

Others include 350-bed hostels for both boys and girls in Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), a Demonstration farm, two faculties in the same university and some Public Health Centres (PHCs) across the state.

According to Ododo, the projects scattered across the state were part of campaign promises to the people who elected him into office to serve them as their chief servants.

He appreciated his predecessor, former Governor Yahaya Bello for laying a solid foundation for him to consolidate upon for the growth and development of the state.

The Vice President, immediately after commissioning the projects was taken to the Government House, along with his entourage where they had some private discussions with stakeholders in the state before they proceeded to   Muhamadu Buhari Square for the proper anniversary celebration.
