The National Secretariat of the Igala Umbrella Sociocultural and Development Association ICDA has written a letter of appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for honouring the Igala Son, Mr OGBANAGO MUHAMMED IBRAHIM with “FRM II* on the basis of Integrity.
In a letter issued WEEKDSYS SMART NEWS REPORTAGE and signed by the Association’s National President, Alhaji Amodu Abubakar Sadiq, stated that the award has no doubt pronounced the Igala People globally as people of integrity.
The letter read as follows:
“We write to acknowledge the conferment of National Honour on *OGBANAGO* *MUHAMMED* *IBRAHIM* *FRM II* and to appreciate Your Excellency on this wonderful recognition of an Igala Son.
We received with great joy the decision of Your Excellency to reward integrity by the conferment of National Honour Award on this Igala Son. Though there are other National Honours awardees at the recent event but the Igala people are very proud at what qualified Mr. OGBANAGO to be recognized by Your Excellency.
The Igala People are known for integrity,honesty and sincerity, as such we are delighted that one of us is honoured based on that known attributes of the Igala people.
This gesture no doubt has clearly demonstrated that Your Excellency has high regards for integrity.
Please be rest assured that we shall continue to demonstrate our culture of integrity as a people at all time and in any given opportunity.
Your Excellency Sir, we as a people are worried that the Igala People are not prominent in your administration, but this Award has indicated that you have not completely forgotten us and we hope that this special recognition will translate to an appointment of Igala people into your government in no distance time.
