President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday night watched Morocco versus France world cup semifinal match with President Joe Biden of the United States.

WEEKDAYS reports that the Prime Minister of Morocco, Aziz Akhannouch; and other leaders also watched the match with Buhari and Biden in Washington DC.

The leaders were in Washington for the US-African Leaders Summit.

This newspaper had reported that Buhari met with Biden at the sidelines of the summit in the White House.

France set up a World Cup final against Argentina after goals from Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani secured a 2-0 win over African giants, Morocco.

In the last-four match at Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar, Theo Hernandez fired France into an early lead before substitute Randal Kolo Muani sealed a 2-0 victory against a determined Morocco side and ensured France’s bid to become just the third side to retain their global crown continued into Sunday’s final against Lionel Messi-led Argentina.

Morocco will play for a Bronze prize against Croatia on Saturday.
